Instructions: 
Write an individual paragraph about all of the items 1-5 in your whale information report.  Use the checklist to proofread your report.  Your report should be at least 120 words.  If you choose, do one or more of the extra credit items. 

1.  Introduction: Choose a whale:
           – Write a riddle using an interesting fact about your whale 
             or a startling fact for your introduction. ”Did you know…”

2.  Write about the whale’s body:
            -Size, color and type of covering (fur, feathers, scales)
            -Special or interesting body parts (teeth, legs, beak, …)

3.  Write about the whales habitat: 
           -Location (state, countries, continents)
           -Type of habitat (forest, ocean)
           -Type of home (nest, cave)
           -Climate

4.  Write about the whales living habits:
            -Eating
            -Sleeping
            -Movement
            -Reproduction
            -Other interesting facts 

5.  Write an ending paragraph:
          -Explain a little why you picked this whale and what you liked
           most about it.

http://www.whalecenter.org/ The Whale Center of New England (WCNE), formerly the Cetacean Research Unit, was founded in 1980 to study the whales frequenting waters off the Massachusetts coast, especially Stellwagen Bank and Jeffreys Ledge.
